Achieving Rumen Efficiency

Kd refers to the rate of kinetic digestibility that influence the rates of fiber fermentation. Our forage products focus toward achieving this objective. As a result, we gain feed efficiency and healthier cows. Kd is the method used to measure the capacity of a cow to convert pounds of ingested feed into pounds of milk. In fact, Kd forage philosophy is not only referred to a kind of forage, but it also refers to dairy cow’s rations; by exploiting the characteristics of the forages it is in fact possible to plan a smaller ingestion of dry matter accompanied by a bigger transformation of food in rumen (feed efficiency). As a result, the cows obtain a greater food conversion, better quality milk and healthier animals themselves.
